ACHARYA SOUND BOWL HEALING

TRAININGS

LEARN THE ART OF HEALING  THROUGH VIBRATION

Whether you're beginning your journey or deepening your skills, our certified sound healing trainings at Acharya Yoga offer more than technique—they offer transformation.

Rooted in Himalayan tradition and delivered with clarity, presence, and compassion, our trainings are designed for anyone called to work with sound as a tool for well-being, energy healing, and personal growth.

You don’t need prior experience—just an open heart and a willingness to listen deeply.

We currently offer two pathways:

  • 4-Day Basic Sound Healing & Therapy Course – A strong foundation for personal healing and professional practice

  • 7-Day Professional Sound Healing Certification – A comprehensive immersion including elemental, chakra, and moon energy healing

All instruments are provided for the duration of the course, and each training ends with a certificate of completion.

4-DAY BASIC SOUND BOWL HEALING CERTIFICATION

A foundational journey into the healing power of sound

This 4-day immersive training is designed for anyone ready to explore the art of sound healing—whether for personal growth or to begin offering sound-based therapy to others. You’ll gain practical skills, energetic understanding, and the confidence to start working with singing bowls safely and intuitively.

  • What should I wear or bring to a session?
We recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing. No special gear is needed—we’ll provide everything you need, including mats, cushions, and blankets.
  • Is sound healing safe for everyone?
Sound healing is generally safe and gentle. If you’re pregnant, have epilepsy, or a serious medical condition, please let us know in advance so we can adapt accordingly.
  • How do I choose between the different therapies?
If you're unsure, we’re happy to help you decide based on how you’re feeling. Each session is tailored to your needs—just let us know what you’re drawn to or what you're working through.
  • Can I book a session with a friend or partner?
Yes! We offer duo sessions at a reduced rate. It’s a beautiful shared experience and deeply relaxing for both.
  • What can I expect during a private sound-healing session?
When you arrive, we’ll begin with a brief chat about how you’re feeling and what you’d like to receive. You’ll then lie comfortably—fully clothed—on a padded mat or massage bed while Himalayan singing bowls are placed on and around your body. As the bowls are gently played, you may feel subtle vibrations, warmth, or a light buzzing sensation moving through your muscles and energy centers. Some people experience deep relaxation, vivid imagery, or an emotional release; others simply drift into a meditative rest. Throughout the session you are free to breathe, sigh, or adjust as needed—this is your time. We’ll close with a few quiet moments to integrate, followed by water, herbal tea, and simple after-care tips so you leave grounded, clear, and nourished.
  • How can I book?
You can fill out our quick booking form or message us directly. We’ll confirm your appointment and guide you through the rest.
  • What kind of space will the course be held in?
The training takes place in a peaceful, supportive environment at Acharya Studio in Pokhara, designed for deep learning and inner connection. We often include outdoor sessions when possible, to practice sound in nature.

  • WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO JOIN A TREK
At Acharya Yoga, we honor the rhythms of nature—and trekking in Nepal is a beautiful way to align with her seasons. For most of our treks, including Ghorepani Poon Hill and Mardi Himal, the best times to walk are: Spring (March–May): When rhododendrons bloom and the forests burst into life with red, pink, and white blossoms. Autumn (September–November): Nepal’s clearest trekking season. Expect crisp skies, moderate temperatures, and crystal-clear mountain views. Winter (Late November–February): A peaceful time with fewer trekkers and dry, clear weather. Poon Hill and other low-altitude treks remain open. Just bring warm layers and waterproof gear in case of snow. Each season offers something unique—whether it’s blooming Himalayan cherry trees in November, the golden light of fall, or the serene quiet of a winter trail.
  • DRINKING WATER ON THE TRAIL
We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle (1 liter or more). Boiled, safe-to-drink water is available at most teahouses, and you can refill your bottle there for a small fee. If you prefer, you can also refill from mountain streams and taps along the way—but we recommend using water purification tablets or drops, which you can easily find in local pharmacies in Nepal.
  • TREKKING INSURANCE (REQUIRED)
While most of our treks are at moderate altitude and carefully paced, unexpected situations—like injury or illness—can happen. Travel insurance is mandatory for all Acharya Yoga treks. Your policy must include: - Medical treatment and emergency evacuation - Helicopter rescue (especially for treks in higher regions - check with us in the when applying ) - After booking, please send us your insurance certificate or policy details. This ensures that, in the rare event of an emergency, we can act swiftly on your behalf and arrange care or evacuation as needed. Tip: Before purchasing, call your insurance provider and confirm that they cover helicopter rescue in Nepal.

In the evening, we gather for a welcome dinner and a meet-and-greet with your spiritual guide, mountain guide, and fellow participants. This is also a time for a short Q&A session, where we review the route, answer your questions, and go over gear, daypacks, and what the porters will carry—ensuring everyone feels prepared and supported. It’s a gentle, grounded start to the journey—a moment to connect, clarify, and begin moving inward.

After a nourishing breakfast, we set out on a challenging uphill trek through dense, quiet jungle. The trail leads us deeper into the forest, offering captivating views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna ranges, and—if we’re lucky—glimpses of deer, monkeys, and vibrant birdlife. Throughout the day, we pause for mindful walking, taking moments to feel the breath, listen to the forest, and connect with the rhythm of the path. A teahouse lunch and light snacks keep us nourished along the way. We arrive at Forest Camp in the afternoon and take time to rest and integrate. Though today’s trek is shorter, the trail climbs steeply through a beautiful forest of rhododendron and juniper, with occasional glimpses of Annapurna South peeking through the trees. The atmosphere invites quiet steps and deep presence. We reach Low Camp after about 3 hours, where we enjoy a nourishing teahouse lunch and light snacks. We pass through Kalimati, a primarily Brahman village, and Ghalel, where Brahman and Gurung communities coexist, offering glimpses of local life and terraced hills. Along the way, we pause for a scenic teahouse lunch, enjoying fresh mountain air and simple, nourishing food. The trail continues gently to Lwang Village, famous for its organic tea plantations, stone-paved streets, and picturesque mountain views. We close the day with restorative meditation, a soulful dinner, and rest in a teahouse or homestay, embraced by the quiet charm of village life.
  • Day 04 // Low Camp – High Camp // 3,550m // 5hr trek
We begin the day with a rejuvenating meditation and energizing Hatha yoga practice, inviting steadiness and breath as we ascend higher into the mountains. Here, we’re rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South—a breathtaking moment of stillness and awe. The trail undulates along the ridgeline, alternating between steep ascents and gentler stretches. After 3–4 hours, we arrive at High Camp, nestled in a dramatic alpine setting. Sailesh is a real shaman. I took the 4 days sound bow healing course with him and ended up learning so much more than just sound healing. We began each lesson with chanting, mantras, and chakra balancing, which made me much more receptive to learning the singing bowls — and I really did learn them! 😄

Along the way, we became friends and shared plenty of laughs. He's very knowledgeable about Pokhara and even helped me with a few things. Sailesh is a genuinely good person. He also helped me purchase some bowls — all around, a great guy!
